2018/2019 Proposed Budget

Council has released its 2018/2019 Proposed Budget for community consideration, and is encouraging members to make a submission. The $37.04 million budget aims to maintain and improve infrastructure, and deliver more than 100 services to the community in the year ahead. 2017/2018 Budget

Council adopted the 2017/2018 Budget at its Ordinary Meeting on Tuesday 20 June 2017. The $37.36 million budget seeks to maintain and improve infrastructure and deliver projects in line with the new 2017/2021 Council Plan.

To meet this goal, rates will increase by an average of 2% under the Victorian Government’s Fair Go Rates System. The Land Management Rate discount provided to eligible properties will increase from 10% to 20%, and the Municipal Charge for all properties will be reduced from $188 to $96.

Kerbside bin collection charges increased by an average of 3.1% per property to maintain rubbish and recycling services. The budget allocates $12.68 million to capital works projects to improve infrastructure such as roads, bridges, footpaths and buildings.
