Are you aged between 12 and 25 years and interested in being a voice for young people in our Shire?
Mount Alexander Shire Council is seeking new members for its 2018 Youth Advisory Group (YAG). The group provides input into Council decisions and strategies, develops local youth initiatives, and helps to identify issues and solutions on matters relevant to young people.
Along with making a positive difference to the community, YAG members receive training in areas such as public speaking and leadership. The group is also responsible for assessing Council’s Quick Response Youth Grants for young people.
Any young person living in the Shire aged between 12 and 25 years can apply to become a member. Meetings are held on Wednesdays from 3.45 - 5.30pm during school terms.
