Tenders

Impounded livestock

Council officers impounded one unidentified ewe from Sandon on Thursday 9 November. If the ewe is not claimed and expenses paid by Tuesday 21 November it will be sold by public tender. Tenders are now open and will close at 2.00pm on Wednesday 22 November. Submit tenders in a sealed envelope marked ‘Impounded Livestock 11/17’ to the Civic Centre, 27 Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine. No late tenders will be accepted. Tenderers will be notified and tenders destroyed if the sheep is claimed. For more information call the Local Laws team on 5471 1700.

Local Roads Resealing 2017/2018, Contract M1331-2017

Tenders are invited for the above contract. Tender documentation can be downloaded by visiting Council's website under Tenders and Quotations. Tenders must be received by 2.00pm on Friday 1 December. Direct enquiries to Andrea O’Grady, Procurement Coordinator, on 5471 1724.

Amendment C082 information sessions

Amendment C082 proposes to introduce flood overlays for land in Castlemaine, Chewton and Campbells Creek that is identified as being subject to flooding. Information sessions will be held:

• 4.00pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday 22 November at Campbells Creek Community Centre, 45 Elizabeth Street, Campbells Creek
• 9.00am to 12.00pm on Saturday 25 November at Chewton Senior Citizens Club, 220 Main Road, Chewton.

Backyard chicken workshop

Council’s last Sustainable Living Workshop for 2018 is a free session on keeping backyard chickens. Join local sustainability educator Joel Meadows and learn about good chook health, the social life of chooks, what to feed them and more. The workshop will be held at the Maldon Neighbourhood Centre from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 25 November.
