Parking permits

Residential parking permits

If you live in a street that has parking restrictions you can apply for a Residential Parking Permit. To apply for a Resident Parking Permit download and complete the relevant application form and lodge with payment at the Civic Centre.

Permits are valid for 12 months and cost $51.70 per annum.

Accessible parking permits

Information about accessibility parking permits (formerly disabled parking permits).

From 22 March 2021, the Mount Alexander Shire Council will move to the Victorian Government's new Accessible Parking Permit (APP) Scheme and online administration system.

Residents and organisations who need a new parking permit, or to renew or replace a permit, will need to apply using the new online application process.

A paper-based version of the application is available if you don’t have access to a mobile phone or the internet. Please contact our Customer Service team on 5471 1700 if you need a paper form.

Parking on council land

To assist with building works, you can apply for a Parking Permit or Conduct Works on Council Land Permit. Permits are valid for the date range specified within a 12 month period.

Council will only consider issuing a parking on council land permit, when the following conditions are met:
• There is sufficient width abutting the property to fit the work zone, so that the zone will not be in front of another resident’s property
• There are not any ‘No stopping’ restrictions in the proposed location
• There are no ‘Clearway’ operating times in the proposed location.
