Mount Alexander Shire’s annual Customer Satisfaction Survey begins this week.

24 January 2022

Mount Alexander Shire’s Customer Satisfaction Survey begins this week. It’s a great chance for your Council to hear from residents how happy they are with the various services Council provides.

The annual survey is coordinated by Local Government Victoria and is also a chance for Council to learn the value the community places on the wide variety of services their Council offers.

The telephone survey of a random representative sample of 400 residents will be undertaken by independent market research agency National Field Surveys over the coming months.

If you live in the shire, you may receive a call over the next few weeks. Individual details and responses remain completely confidential, with Council only receiving overall, aggregated results.

“This annual survey is a wonderful opportunity for us to hear from our community matters to them and how we are performing,” said Cr Bill Maltby, Mayor of Mount Alexander Shire Council.

“The results give us a regular insight into the needs and expectations of our community, and help us identify areas where the community thinks it is important we focus on continually getting better,” he said.

“We encourage residents to take this opportunity to provide feedback if they receive a call,” said Mayor Maltby.

Council delivers a range of services including maternal and child health, home and community care, town planning, and cultural and recreational activities. It also maintains local roads, footpaths, bridges, drains, parks, playgrounds, community buildings and much more.

The majority of Victorian councils participate in the state-wide survey. The results are benchmarked against a state-wide average and similar sized local government areas.

The survey informs mandatory reporting requirements of the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework. The results from previous years are available on Council’s website.
