Overview

Building and property information is available to you for the purpose of buying or selling a property or planning building works.

Property Information Certificate 

A Property Information Certificate can include:

Past property information

  • Details of any building permits obtained for a property in the last 10 years.
  • Details of Occupancy Permits and Final Certificates.
  • Details of any current notices or orders.
  • Details of statements issued under Regulation 64 or 231

Information on designated areas affecting a property 

  • These include land subject to termites, liable to flooding, subject to significant snowfall or a having specified Bushfire Attack Level.

Past inspection approval dates of building works

  • Mandatory carried out on the land in the last ten years. (Can only be requested by the owner or authorised person).

Fee: $55.10 per regulation

How to apply for building and property information

You can apply online or email.

Log in to the Greenlight portal to submit your application and pay.

If you're a first-time user, click Log in in the top right-hand corner and select First Time User Registration to create an account.

Please Note: If you are applying for property Information for a property located in Hepburn Shire, you must apply via Hepburn Shire Council.

Stormwater drainage - Legal point of discharge

Existing stormwater drainage and approved discharge point.

Request for written planning advice

Request written planning advice to:

  • Confirm if a planning permit is required for a proposed use, change of use, or a development (including signage)
  • Obtain advice on a planning related enquiry

Fee: $124.00

Request a copy of building permits and/or plans

Request a copy of issued planning permits and endorsed plans and/or building permit documentation.

Please note, if the applicant is not the owner the consent of the current owner must be obtained in writing and lodged with the application.

Fees

Copies of planning permits and plans (permit less than 7 years old) - $102.00

Copies of planning permits and plans (permit older than 7 years) - $145.00

Copies of building permit documentation - $101.00

Copy of assets located on property

Building plans usually do not show where utility services such as sewerage or storm water pipes are located on your property. This information is available at Dial Before You Dig or contact your water provider.
