Home modifications help you to increase or maintain your independence, safety and wellbeing. To access this service you are referred to an Occupational Therapist (OT) who will visit your home and make recommendations on modifications you may need.
Once we have received your OT recommendations we will provide you with a quote to approve before we start any work.
Examples of home modification include:
- Grab rails in bathrooms and toilets
- Internal and external handrails
- Ramps and platform steps
- Installation of hand-held shower heads
- Removal of shower screens and installation of a shower curtain
- Lever tap sets or lever door handles
- Installation of emergency alarms and safety aids
- Slip resistant floor strips
- Chair and bed raisers
Note:
We can only provide services that do not require a qualified tradesperson such as a licensed electrician or plumber. Services are charged at one hour of service for each Property Maintenance Officer (PMO). If two PMO's attend for one hour you will be charged for two hours of service plus materials.
