BirdLife Castlemaine District

BirdLife Castlemaine District is a branch of BirdLife Australia. We hold monthly bird walks and nature journaling sessions, plus an annual bird weekend event. We work with other local community organisations to deliver workshops and talks about our local birds. We also collaborate with them by assisting with bird surveying in the area. In addition, we advocate for a safe and secure environment for birds by participating in petitions, sending letters to appropriate authorities, engaging with local media and holding face-to-face meetings.
