Emergency Planning Assistance
The Emergency Planning Assistance initiative is a community-lead free service available to Mount Alexander Shire residents, which helps you to develop a preparedness plan for emergencies like bushfires, floods and storms.
Lead by Mount Alexander Disability Advocacy Group (MASDAG), the project involves volunteers from MASDAG, Council, CFA, SES and Red Cross providing you with assistance to create an emergency plan for your unique circumstances.
People most at risk in our community can face barriers when preparing for emergencies when it comes to accessing information, attending community meetings, creating an emergency plan and implementing that plan.
That’s why MASDAG, with support from Council and community groups, is running the Emergency Planning Assistance initiative, to ensure everyone in our community has the support they need during an emergency.
