Make the switch to electric

Whether you’re a homeowner or a renter, live in a house or apartment, are a resident or business owner, switching to renewable electric energy instead of gas is something we all can do to help contribute to a cleaner future and save on energy bills.

The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Program and the Solar Victoria Homes Program offer a wide range of discounts and rebates to help you make the transition to electric energy easy.

Go solar

Visit the Solar Home Program and join more than 250,000 Victorians who are learning how to save over $1,000 every year on energy bills applying for generous solar rebates.

Switch to reverse cycle heating and cooling

By replacing old heating and cooling systems with more energy-efficient ones or simply purchasing new energy-efficient systems, you can significantly reduce the costs and energy use associated with heating and cooling.

Find out more about switching to reverse cycle, and if you are eligible for discounts under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program.

Update old hot water systems with heat pumps

Water heating can account for 18% of your energy bill. It's possible to reduce these costs by upgrading to a more efficient hot water system such as a heat pump.

If you are eligible you can save over $1000 on a hot water system by taking advantage of the Victorian Government Energy Upgrade program or Solar Victoria hot water rebate.
