An opportunity to have your say on Council services

Mount Alexander Shire Council’s annual Customer Satisfaction Survey will begin on Monday 29 January.
The annual survey of a random representative sample of 400 residents will be undertaken by independent market research agency, National Field Surveys.
Shire residents may receive a phone call from the agency between the end of January and mid-March to answer some questions about their satisfaction with Council services.
The overall results are provided to Council but individual responses remain confidential, so residents can express their thoughts and opinions openly.
Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Mayor, Cr Matthew Driscoll, said that the annual Community Satisfaction Survey provides valuable insight into how the community is feeling.
“This survey is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from community members,” said Cr Driscoll.
“We want to know what you think about Council services, what we’re doing right and what you think needs work.
“It’s by listening to our community and taking into account their lived experiences that we can identify areas for improvement.
“This is a great opportunity to provide feedback directly to Council, so I encourage everyone to engage with the survey if they receive a call.”
Council delivers a range of community services including maternal and child health care, home and community care, town planning, and cultural and recreational activities. It also maintains local roads, footpaths, bridges, drains, parks, playgrounds, community buildings and much more.
The majority of Victorian councils participate in this state-wide survey. The results are benchmarked against a state-wide average and similar sized local government areas.
The survey informs mandatory reporting requirements of the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework. The results from previous years are available on Council’s website.
