Meet the climate change-makers

Meet Carol

Carol moved to Mount Alexander Shire in 1978 and planned to regenerate her property in the Muckleford forest.

She joined Connecting Country where she gained valuable knowledge about the local flora and fauna, and from there started to plant trees.

Carol continues to plant trees and now has a thriving veggie patch, too.

She has a retro-fitted home with a north-facing pagola, solar panels and underfloor insulation. And her electricity bill is zero.

Well done, Carol!

We recently asked you what you’re doing to take action against climate change, and you told us stories about composting, planting trees, cycling instead of driving and lots more!

In April, we’ll be sharing these stories with you, with the aim to inspire and learn from each other.

Watch this space and find out more about the climate change-makers project at www.shape.mountalexander.vic.gov.au.
