Seniors Festival 2023

Mount Alexander Shire Council is inviting residents to come along and enjoy the 2024 Seniors Festival.

This year’s theme is Explore. Engage. Evolve. It encourages older residents to stay curious, remain open to exploring new activities and fuel your inner child.

Events include the ever-popular Country Concert, music, trivia, yoga, workshops and lots more.

Seniors can also enjoy eight days of free public transport from Sunday 6 October to Sunday 13 October.

Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Mayor, Cr Matthew Driscoll, said that the Seniors Festival is all about celebration and connection.

“We’re proud to be partnering with local organisations to deliver a festival that fosters connection, promotes health and wellbeing, and is a month of fun and good vibes.

“There’s so much on offer – music, plays, workshops, and the Seniors Expo/Community Lunch which is always a popular one.

“I encourage you to have a look at the program and sign up for events, it’s a great way to meet people and have some new experiences.

“Plus, Castlemaine Community House will be providing free transport between events which makes getting involved that much easier.

“And as always, a big thank you to everyone involved in putting together such an exciting program of events.”
