Youth Awards 2022

Mount Alexander Shire Council is inviting the community to come along to the 2024 Mount Alexander Shire Youth Awards.

The awards are held every two years and recognise young people across a range of categories, bringing the community together to celebrate their achievements.

Award categories include Social Impact, Environment, Sports & Recreation, Art & Music, and Industry.

Ben Dubuc-Timson won the Environment Youth Award in 2022 for his climate change activism work across our shire.

“I felt happy, blessed and amazed that I got an award for all the environmental work I did,” said Ben.

Council’s Youth Advisory Group member, Lucia Amati, said: “We contribute so much to our communities and the Youth Awards are a real chance for the good things we do to go recognised by the shire – it’s by young people for young people, and it’s always so enjoyable every year!”
