Meet Faina: School Crossing Supervisor
Published on 17 August 2023
Faina is one of our shire's hard-working School Crossing Supervisors.
We have a number of other roles available, so we spoke to Faina about what she loves about the job.
What drew you to the role?
I worked previously for 25 years for the Department of Education and I wanted to continue to work with children.
What is the best thing about the job?
Helping the children each day.
How long have you been a school crossing supervisor?
Approximately three months.
Can you think of a time when you had a funny interaction with the kids?
One of the children asked me where my accent came from and why am I wearing fur boots. I was born in Siberia.
What would you say to someone thinking about applying for one of the roles?
I suggest they do it because and it’s lots of fun and people appreciate it.
