New Councillors elect announced

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has formally announced the results of the 2024 Mount Alexander Shire Council elections, with four councillors being returned and four new councillors joining the team for the next four years.

The successful candidates are:

  • Barkers Creek Ward – Rosie Annear (returning)
  • Calder Ward – Tony Cordy (returning)
  • Campbells Creek Ward – Bill Maltby (returning)
  • Coliban Ward – Phillip Walker
  • Forest Creek Ward – Toby Heydon
  • Loddon River Ward – Matt Driscoll (returning)
  • Moonlight Creek Ward – Lucas Maddock
  • Tarrengower Ward – Rosalie Hastwell

Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Chief Executive Officer Darren Fuzzard said the Councillors elect will be formally sworn in at an Unscheduled Meeting of Council on Tuesday 26 November 2024 and congratulated them on their election.

“On behalf of Mount Alexander Shire Council staff and the local community, I offer my congratulations to our new Council,” said Mr Fuzzard.

“The organisation and I look forward to working with and serving our new Council over the next four years.”
