You're invited to Community Christmas Lunch
Published on 14 November 2024
Celebrate Christmas with the Mount Alexander Shire community by coming along to Community Christmas Lunch.
The annual celebration is hosted by Castlemaine Community House and is a free celebration open to all residents. It’s the perfect way to come together and connect with your community, and enjoy the season’s festivities in a friendly environment.
The day will include lunch and dessert, music, activities, presents and a visit from Santa.
“I love the range of food and the activities provided for children of all ages, mine included!” said Michael, Community Christmas Lunch volunteer and participant.
“The opportunity to sit and chat with new people is a bonus. The atmosphere in the hall is very positive.
“Without doubt, the best part about volunteering at the Community Christmas Lunch is serving the food and seeing how delighted people are to be sharing the day with other community members from all walks of life.”
Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Director Healthy Communities said that Council is proud to support this festive event.
“I encourage anyone in the community who needs some company on Christmas Day, or who just wants to be around their community, to come along,” said Ms Knight.
“There’s wonderful food prepared by volunteers, music, presents and great company.
“Castlemaine Community House do an amazing job every year of putting on a fun and inclusive celebration, that’s got something for everyone.”
