The role

Key responsibilities undertaken include:

  • Undertaking quality building inspections, permit assessments and reporting
  • Providing specialist advice in accordance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and Council plans
  • Enforcement services and conflict management

 

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration or ability to gain registration within first three months with the Victorian Building Authority in the category of Building Inspector.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Act, Regulations, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • At least three years municipal experience.
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence.
  • A proven commitment to customer service principles and a demonstrated ability to provide a professional service to a diverse range of clients is required.
