The role

Key responsibilities undertaken by the Community Flood Resilience Recovery Officer include:

  • Assist with the coordination and collaboration of key stakeholders within the Mount Alexander Shire, to identify local needs and opportunities to promote recovery, and to support, develop and deliver resilience and recovery activities
  • Deliver quality service to internal and external stakeholders for Council’s flood recovery program
  • Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support management delivery

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • relevant experience and qualifications (preferred)
  • experience and an understanding of the principles of social inclusion and community development
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
