The role
We are seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to join our team.
As part of the People and Culture unit, the Learning and Development Officer is responsible for the coordination of learning and development programs to ensure our staff are adequately trained and educated to perform their roles and ensure Council’s statutory and strategic objectives are met.
The role involves analysis of training needs, researching and coordinating suitable training and providers, management of our online Learning Management System, and coordinating apprenticeships/traineeships, student placements and work experience programs.
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about learning and development, ideally have qualifications in a related field (ie. training and assessment) or be able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience and success in a similar role. Experience in diversity, equity and inclusion policy development would be highly regarded.
