The role

Key responsibilities undertaken by the Property Maintenance Officer include:

  • Perform a full range of general maintenance, gardening and cleaning services for assessed clients
  • Safely and competently use hand and power tools as required to undertake functions of the role
  • Liaise with Occupational Therapists to negotiate amendments to prescriptions as required
  • Interpret drawings and descriptions provided by Occupational Therapists to install handrails, grab rails and ramps or platform steps as directed and with an eye for detail

 

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Accredited Certificate III or IV in carpentry or equivalent
  • Experience in basic construction, general maintenance, towing a trailer and the use of small power tools
  • Evidence of construction induction training (white card) or ability to complete
  • A current Victorian drivers’ licence is essential
