The role
Working from Councils Castlemaine or Maldon depot, you will be working a 76-hour, 9-day fortnight. The working hours are generally between 7am to 4pm with every second Monday off as rostered.
The key responsibilities undertaken by the Road Worker – Plant Operator include:
- Proficient in the safe and efficient operation of a range of plant associated with road maintenance and construction activities. Preferably these will include experience in water trucks, tractor/combination roller, tractor/slasher and other associated equipment.
- Proven experience in driving heavy ridged trucks, with a minimum HR endorsed Victorian drivers license.
- Maintaining quality standards, and obtaining good quality outcomes for the works being performed
- Undertaking a daily vehicle safety check prior to each day’s work
