The role
Key responsibilities undertaken by the Supported Playgroup Facilitator include:
- Effectively facilitate the State Government funded Supported Playgroups Program (incorporating the ‘Small Talk’ program) and in-home support in accordance with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) including the Practice Principles and Learning Outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage families and encourage participation in the Supported Playgroup Program Plan and facilitate playgroup sessions at various locations across Mount Alexander Shire
- Demonstrate flexibility, self-motivation and a lateral approach to problem solving and addressing issues
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant experience and qualifications
- Proven experience of engaging and working with a diverse range of families and stakeholders
- Confident communication and community engagement skills
- Recent experience in working with families and children aged 0–6 years in a group based context
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential
