The role

As part of the Parks and Gardens unit, the Turf Maintenance / Plant Operator is responsible for:

  • maintenance and improvement of open space areas such as reserves, parks, sportsgrounds and roadsides
  • operating and maintaining a range of medium sized plant and equipment, such as tractor and mowers
  • auditing and maintenance of sportsground irrigation systems

 

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • relevant experience and qualifications in horticulture, turf management or equivalent
  • broad knowledge and experience in all aspects of open space and turf maintenance
  • knowledge and experience in the operation of a range of plant and equipment including tractor and associated implements and automatic irrigation systems
