The role
The Youth Activities Support Officers support the Youth team through:
- Supporting the delivery of inclusive activities and events for young people aged 12-25 years.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of the Mondo Lounge Youth Space Program, including the Mondo Lounge School Holiday Program.
- Assisting with set up and end of activity duties, including moving furniture and equipment, clean up, food preparation and supervision of program participants as required.
Part time role also undertakes:
- Delivery of the Over the Rainbow youth program
- Promotion of activities on social media and Council’s youth website.
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The ability to build positive relationships with young people
- Experience in facilitating groups, programs or activities
- A Working with Children’s Check
- Sound understanding of Child Safe Standards
- Proficiency in using a range of social media platforms and website management
- Availability to work 2pm to 7pm Wednesdays and Fridays during school terms
- Availability to work flexible hours during school holidays
- The ability to undertake the physical elements of the role
