Dr Lucas Jordan: The Chipilly Six

Lucas Jordan.png

In 1918, at Chipilly Spur overlooking the Somme River, a British Army Corps is held up by German machine gunners with more than 2000 men fallen. Assessing the situation, six Australian soldiers, including one from Muckleford near Castlemaine, and another from Woodend, drive the Germans off the spur in an extraordinary feat of bravery.

Military historian Dr Lucas Jordan tells a compelling tale of these soldiers' lives both during the war and after, ensuring they will not be forgotten.
