Reconciliation Walk
Inspired by The Long Walk, the Chewton Primary School community with the support of Nalderun invites you to walk along the Leanganook Walking Track.
There will be stops along the way with story boards and thought-provoking reflections to look, listen and learn about identity, kinship, connection to Country, reconciliation, truth telling and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have worked for change.
You will finish at Me Mandook Galk (The Grandmother Tree), where you can make a commitment to be a voice for generations.
Walkers are asked to wear red, black & yellow.
“We ask you to think about what you can do to make our community a safe place for all. We ask you to think about what you can do to make our country a better place for all. We ask you to be brave, to make change.” (Otis, School Captain, 2022)
