As part of our COVID-19 support, Mount Alexander Shire is offering tourism businesses a free 12-month membership. This is suitable for any business that offers an experience for walk-in visitors and wishes to work more collaboratively with Mount Alexander Shire Council and the local tourism industry to develop and sustain our visitor economy.
A membership entitles the business to a listing on the tourism website, promotion through social media and public relations opportunities, brochures in the Visitor Information Centre, and business advice and support. Businesses that would benefit include tour operators, attractions, art/culture venues, accommodation, retail or a cafe/restaurant/winery/brewery.
For accommodation providers, the membership cost is normally $110 per year + a 10% commission on all bookings made via the online booking platform. We have waived the membership cost but the commission will still be charged per booking.
For all other businesses, you will take up the Tourism Go-Getter membership, normally valued at $200 per year.
Please note: All existing tourism members are entitled to a complimentary 12-month extension of their membership.
