Join us for Australia Day – Survival Day

Celebrate and acknowledge Australia Day – Survival Day at a free, family-friendly community event on Thursday 26 January from 10.00am in Castlemaine’s Victory Park.

The day will include a Welcome to Country, citizenship and awards ceremony, and a Survival Day Concert programmed by Dja Dja Wurrung Elder Uncle Rick Nelson.

Performers will include Bart Willoughby, Selwyn Burns and Tjimba Possum Burns; D’Arcy Spiller; The Rattlers; Jason Kerr and Young Jason Kerr; The Yung Warriors; and the Nalderun Women’s Cleansing Ceremony. There’ll also be free food thanks to Murnong Mammas, the Rotary Club, Lions Club and SES; and Icecream Republic.
